Elliot Cochrane is Public Policy Officer at the National Trust where he leads across a number of policy areas including planning, infrastructure, energy and decarbonisation of historic buildings, he provides advice and support on the Trust’s engagement with Government for senior Trust staff and interfaces with colleagues from across the organisation in order to represent and communicate the Trust’s views in a powerful and impactful way to our stakeholders. He currently chairs the Beauty and Heritage working group of the Better Planning Coalition, which represents 34 organisations across the environment, housing, planning, heritage and transport sectors with one common goal of ensuring a planning system fit for climate, nature and people.
