Kirsty Shanahan

Kirsty is a professional marketer with 25 years’ experience in a wide range of industries, target markets and products communicating across all media channels. From 2016-2020 she was PR and Marketing Manager for Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity which gave her expertise in grassroots community marketing and a wide local network.
As well as working for Low Carbon Homes, Kirsty is a Founder Member of Buckinghamshire Community Energy, a Committee Member of Bucks Climate Action Alliance and a Trustee of Climate Action Wendover (soon to be a CIO), and is Vice-Chair of Stoke Mandeville Parish Council. She also currently works part-time for Community Energy England, she is carrying out a number of Feasibility Studies for local councils and community centres, and is working with Buckinghamshire Council on developing an efficient process for installing solar on Buckinghamshire schools as a community energy partnership.
She has achieved the Renewable Energy Expert Galileo Certificate from the European Centre of Technology and passed the DEA and Retrofit Assessor exams (although is not fully qualified due to lack of time!)
