Matt Harrison OBE
Programme Director, Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Energy Efficiency & Local, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
Matt is the Programme Director for the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund accountable for developing and delivering this exciting project for the Senior Responsible Owner (Selvin Brown).
Matt joined BEIS from the Ministry of Defence where he was Director Naval Support accountable for HM Naval Bases Clyde, Devonport and Portsmouth, Naval Estate Infrastructure, Logistics and Engineering policy. He was also the SRO for 2 GMPP programmes (Future Maritime Support Programme and the Clyde Infrastructure Programme).
Matt served in the Royal Navy as an Engineer enjoying a wide variety of appointments, at sea and ashore in the MOD, Navy Command Headquarters, British Embassy Washington DC and in Defence Equipment and Support.
Matt is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a graduate of the Royal Navy Engineering College (Manadon) with an MSc in Guided Weapons and is a recent graduate of the MPLA. He was appointed OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list in 2013.
