Loco Home Retrofit Community Interest Company is a community-led intermediary for retrofit in Glasgow. Loco Home is structured as a non-profit co-operative of households, contractors and advisers. It is governed by its members and is served by a small staff. It aims to build both the market and the supply chain for low carbon retrofit.
Loco Home Retrofit provides online and in-person resources for information, education and peer support. It also provides a service that develops bespoke step-wise retrofit plans that integrate with maintenance and renovation goals. Furthermore, it is developing approaches for collective action by owners of houses and flats with funding from Innovate UK and CivTech.
