Matt has been with Birmingham City Council for 37 years and holds the position of Private Rented Services Manager, managing HMOS licensing and empty properties amongst other aspects of the private rented sector. Outside of London, Birmingham has the biggest stock of privately rented properties (approx. 100,000 units).  Matt also sits on the Executive of The Empty Homes Network (EHN), the national body for empty homes practitioners.
