David has 35 years of experience in Social Housing and considers the challenge of meeting Zero Carbon ambitions as the biggest challenge facing our sector in all of that time. Wrekin's challenge has been assessed and comes with a bill of £146m (ex VAT) to achieve zero carbon by 2050 and this is in addition to all of the other expectations of our tenants to keep their homes well maintained and safe. With the recent OFGEM announcement to raise the cap on energy prices , we have a huge challenge to find a blend of solutions that meets the carbon challenges and keep homes affordable for our tenants.
