Mick is a Knowledge Transfer Adviser for North Wales, Merseyside and West Cheshire.
The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) support businesses to engage with expert academic teams on a project-based collaboration delivering sustainable innovation with positive economic impact and additional societal or environmental benefits. Mick looks after businesses supporting their projects with knowledge bases in many parts of the country. Mick also maintains relationships with a number of designated universities in relation to their participation in the programme.
Mick is also a consultant to the North Wales Business Council, a member of the Welsh Optoelectronics Forum and a non-exec director of several companies.
With a background managing strategic development, new business ventures, finance and legal functions in private and public sector organisations. Mick has set-up over £2bn of multi-party projects and funding, and was a key member of one of the UK's most successful MBO's. He has also served on executive boards of G.E Capital, Stagecoach Holdings and Abbey National companies.
Mick has been working with businesses, government and universities since 2005 to deliver R&D and economic development programmes across Wales and the North West.
