Cllr. Susan Carey
Susan Carey is the first holder of the newly-created role of Cabinet Member for Environment at Kent County Council. A county councillor since 2005, Susan's background is in transport; she was one of the first women station managers at British Rail and held senior positions in international rail. It was while working for Eurotunnel that Susan moved to Kent.
Susan studied for an MBA at Ashridge Management College for which she was awarded a distinction and she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport.
Susan represents the Elham Valley at Kent County Council and is also a councillor at Folkestone & Hythe District Council where she was a founding member of the Rail for Folkestone campaign to secure a High-Speed domestic rail service.
