Dr. Boris Ceranic

Dr Boris Ceranic (BSc Hons Dipl Ing, PhD, MCIAT, RIBA Affiliate, SFHEA) is an experienced researcher, academic and practitioner, working in the areas of sustainable architecture and low energy design, sustainable design simulation and building information modelling (BIM), construction engineering, building technology, building performance and life cycle assessment, healthy buildings, optimisation methods, advanced parametric design and fire safety. Boris has spent ten years in the construction industry and at a later stage of his practicing career owned his own design and build practice, prior to entering academia. Since then he remained both research and practice active, publishing at an international level - project leading on externally funded research projects, chairing panels at international conferences, referring international journals and undertaking PhD supervisions and examinations - most of which are based on real build projects and case studies. Along with academic duties, he is also practicing via undertaking design consultancy, specialising in the areas of sustainable urban design, masterplanning and low energy buildings.
