As well as being the Portfolio Holder for Regulatory & Environment at West Suffolk (district) council I'm a back-bencher at Suffolk County Council. My ward/division is Newmarket.
I'm particularly passionate about the environment - my company Lettergold (http://www.lettergold.co.uk/) specialises in private label products that meet Part L of the Building Regs - essentially the conservancy of heat and power. I was chair of the revision of BS7593:2019 - the code of practice for commissioning wet central heating systems. We have ISO 14001 - first getting it in 2004. We have solar panels on our roof under the WS 'rent a roof' scheme - so my involvement with climate change at the council is very much a reflection of my aspirations at work.
