Mark is managing director of Tawd Valley Developments, a young, vibrant and innovative development company with an ambition to build more than 300 homes over the next five years. The business is a wholly owned development company of West Lancashire Borough Council. Mark is responsible to the Board for the overall direction and leadership of the organisation. The company, with a remit to develop across the region, has just completed its first two new build schemes for the Council, has three other live sites and is just about to start its largest to date, a 50 home project including bungalows and apartments in Skelmersdale. Mark describes times as both exciting and continually evolving at TVD with a number of new initiatives in the pipeline across the NW region.. . Mark also has 25 years senior management experience in the public sector, including local authorities, Government and local strategic partnerships. He has held a number of high profile, influential roles including the chief executive of Liverpool Foundation Homes, the Liverpool City Council owned housing company and assistant director of Investment and Development. During his tenure at the local authority he was responsible for the delivery of many of the city’s his profile transformational projects including the award-winning Anfield regeneration Project involving Liverpool Football Clubs Stadium expansion. Mark also and established an extensive programme to drive the delivery of new and improved homes across the area including the refurbishment of the Welsh Streets and renewal of the former Boot Estate in Norris Green.
